It is my very great pleasure to welcome you and your children to our Storytime each Friday from 11:30 a.m. to noon. I try to inspire everyone to feel like the Library is a welcoming place, and to demonstrate that books are just waiting to excite, entertain, and educate us. I try to spark imaginations with topics that ‘speak’ to the children on a personal level. I encourage them to join in with sound effects, songs, action poems, and puppets. I also send them home with a hand stamp and handout, to help them remember our time together, and to enrich their activities later in the day. I try to include resources for parents and guardians, too. These reflect the huge collection of excellent websites and books that have free printables, craft ideas, and much more, which are designed to lead our children to a lifetime of literacy and enjoyment. So, come and join me so that, together, we can help to expand our children’s horizons!
The first storytime is September 5th. Because we are all going to the Northern Lights Library System Conference, there will be no storytime on September 19th.
